February 29th

February 29th only comes once every 4 years to compensate for the fact that the time it takes for the Earth to go all the way around the sun is 365.25 days, not the 365 that we actually acknowledge. So what's with calling it "Leap" Day? Who's leaping? Are people really happy and joyful, so they leap in the air every day we have an extra day in our year? It should really be called "Accumulation Day." It fits so much better. And it really rolls off the tongue. Think about it.

Also, congratulations to Carl Edwards for being able to do backflips two weeks in a row. Bravo.
